DSP Help is a project of Social Security Rights Victoria (SSRV). SSRV respects your right to privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy of all of our users. SSRV’s organisation wide privacy policy applies to DSP Help. You can view the full policy here. This Privacy Statement covers how DSP Help handles and uses its users’ information and data.


What information does DSP Help collect?

DSP Help only collects personal or sensitive information you enter into the website, its tools, and its resources. The kinds of information DSP Help collects includes:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Information relating to your Disability Support Pension application or appeal (e.g. information about your medical conditions, disabilities, impairments, etc.)

Can I remain anonymous?

You may use DSP Help’s resources and tools without providing personal information.

Some parts of DSP Help require personal information to be used effectively. For example, DSP Help’s Medical Evidence Bot cannot generate a customised Medical Evidence Kit unless you provide your name and information about your medical conditions, disabilities, and/or impairments.


How does DSP Help use the information it collects?

DSP Help only uses the information it collects for these specific purposes:

  • To provide you with a customised Medical Evidence Kit through DSP Help’s Medical Evidence Bot
  • To allow us to obtain feedback from you if you have consented for us to do so
  • To help us improve DSP Help

How does the Medical Evidence Bot handle my information?

Information collected through the Medical Evidence Bot is used to produce a customised Medical Evidence Kit.

The information you enter into the Medical Evidence Bot is stored within the Josef platform. This information will only be accessed by SSRV in order to review feedback you have provided and/or to improve DSP Help. The information will only be accessed by Josef Legal where strictly required for maintenance or security purposes.

Information within the Josef platform is protected by encryption. The Josef platform servers are located in Sydney, Australia. More information about the security measures the Josef platform uses is available here.
